Evening has arrived
And I am still busy collecting sea-shells.
The fishermen have returned gathering their nets.
The birds have come back to their nests,
The last flicker of the sun’s rays is extinguished.
All day long
I have wandered from shore to shore.
There is hardly anyone whom I have not entreated
With folded hands.
Every wave of the ocean has slept in the middle
Nodding to my story.
Although, there were heaps of gems there,
None was to my liking.
My fastidiousness has been my undoing.
Evening has arrived
And I am still busy collecting sea-shells.
