I have loved you and you alone.
I am not grieved that you have kept silent.
There is no difference now
Between acceptance and non-acceptance.
The only thing that matters, is,
How much have I adorned myself for you,
Keeping awake for nights and nights alone.
I have found glimpses of my existence
In the anguish of this love only.
The glow of consciousness has been proportional
To my delvings in the depth of your affection.”
I have personified the formless unknown
In my agony.
It is not necessary
That you should also love me.
Only feel this much
That some one has all along been loving you.
Is it a small matter
That some one has accepted
A whole life of torture for you?
I have loved you and you alone.
