Let the cuckoo remain silent this time.
Let me say what she wants to say.
I accept,
The cuckoo fills your heart with emotions.
There is a magic in her voice,
But she soon leaves us tired
Because she has not broken
Her bonds with flowers
Till now.
She has not faced the fury of the storms.
She has never been engulfed
By a sea of sorrow.
May be, at one time,
She had been in love
And did not get fulfilment,
Even this is not insufficient
To sweeten her songs with pathos.
But it is entirely a different matter
To writhe in blood,
Being pierced by the arrows of the hunter,
An entirely different experience,
That the destination is far, far away
And the traveller feels,
There is not the slightest energy left in him
For taking another step forward.
No, let the cuckoo remain silent this time.
Let me say what she wants to say.
