Don’t wait for me.
I will never return here again.

What, if the clouds be gathering !
What, if the ocean be rolling !
Don’t wait for me.
After getting out of this earthen abode,
I will never be visible to you again.

Our meeting was just a chance.
As if two loitering waves came together,
As if two flowers blossomed
Side by side.
Where we will be tomorrow,
Who can say ?
Is it a small thing,
That we lived in complete harmony
As long as we were with each other.
Don’t wait for me.
I will never return here again.

I agree,
Nothing is lost.
But does not parting make us sad?
It is also true,
We shall exist in the endless skies
In some form or other,
It is our existence alone
That will be shining in the lightnings,
It will be our existence alone
That will be floating

On the head of the storms,
But how shall we recognise one another?
What shall we say,
Even when we meet?

Don’t wait for me.
I will never return here again.
