Look, how much I have wept !
I am lost in a forest full of wild beasts,
My throat has become sore by too much crying,
Does not the sound of my screams
Reach your ears in distant heavens?

How much sadness is there all around me!
Every one has left me.
Oh! how many times my heart has been deceived
By your foot-steps !
Whose shadow is this hovering over my head?
